Family Works Resolution Service is for parents and caregivers who are separating or separated and need to make parenting arrangements that are in the best interests of their children and families. This out-of-court mediation service ensures that families retain control of decision making. The family-friendly process is less stressful, takes less time and is less expensive than going to court. Our unique approach sees us offering mediation that takes a proactive approach to children's inclusion (we have a robust, quality children voice service as part of the package) and from a social services provider perspective - one that has significant experience and expertise in working with whanau and families for more than 100 years. Family Works Resolution Service comes under the Family Justice system and is contracted by Ministry of Justice.

Our key partners include the Department of Corrections, New Zealand Police and Oranga Tamariki. We’re also involving the wider justice and social sector, and building partnerships with Māori, community groups and business so we can design solutions that work for future generations.
