SSPA Online Event - Cyber Security Essentials with CERT NZ

During Cyber Smart Week, Erica Boscato from CERT NZ joined SSPA to talk about CERT NZ’s role, the type and extent of common cyber threats, and some simple steps to take to keep secure when operating online. She also talked through some examples of common scams and provided tips on how to spot these.
CERT NZ is a government department which works to support businesses, organisations and individuals who are affected by cyber security incidents.
Erica Boscato is CERT NZ’s Senior Advisor, Engagement and Partnerships, and works with community groups, businesses, and other government agencies to help build New Zealanders’ cyber resilience. Erica has a background in financial complaint investigations and is passionate about raising awareness of cyber threats to help protect New Zealanders from fraud and scams.
