Agreement to terms

Welcome to sspa.org.nz (the ‘site’), the website of Social Service Providers Te Pai Ora o Aotearoa (SSPA).

By accessing and using the site, you agree to these terms, which apply to the entire contents of the site, to any web feeds produced by the site and to any feedback or submissions provided through the site. By viewing and using the site, you will be deemed to agree to these terms of use.

SSPA disclaims and excludes all liability for any claim, loss, demand or damages of any kind whatsoever (including for negligence) arising out of or in connection with the use of either this website or the information, content or materials included on this site or on any website we link to. You access and use the site at your own risk.

To the extent permitted by law, we have no liability or responsibility to you or any other person for any loss in connection with:

  • the site being unavailable (in whole or in part) or performing slowly;
  • any error in, or omission from, any information made available through the site;

You must not use the site in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the site or impairment of the availability or accessibility of the site; or in any way which is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful, or in connection with any unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful purpose or activity.

You must not use the Website to copy, store, host, transmit, send, use, publish or distribute any material which consists of (or is linked to) any spyware, computer virus, Trojan horse, worm, keystroke logger, rootkit or other malicious computer software.

You must not conduct any systematic or automated data collection activities (including without limitation scraping, data mining, data extraction and data harvesting) on or in relation to the site without the express consent of SSPA.

You must not use the site to transmit or send unsolicited commercial communications.

Social share buttons

In some places on the site we use ‘buttons’ that link to specific social media platforms. These ‘buttons’ enable visitors to share pages from our website to their social media pages.

We do not own these social media channels and encourage you to read their privacy policy and conditions of use. Please protect your personal information and others by not publishing any personal information such as names and addresses.

Adding link sharing of our pages to social media platforms does not imply we endorse these sites or that there is any obligation for you to share to platforms you belong to or have not already joined.

Continuity of service

SSPA makes no warranty or representation, express or implied, as to continuity of service. It reserves the right to suspend, terminate or otherwise alter access to some or all of the site’s services at any time and without notice.

Other than personal information, which is covered under the privacy policy, and other than where we expressly state otherwise, any material you transmit or post to the site is considered non-confidential. This includes feedback or submissions you provide through the site.

Intellectual property

We own all proprietary and intellectual property rights to SSPA intellectual property housed on the site (including all SSPA information, data, text, graphics, artwork, photographs, logos, icons, sound recordings, videos and look and feel), and the Underlying Systems.

We may collect technical information whenever you log on to or visit the site. This may include information about the way users arrive at, browse through and interact with our site. We may collect this type of technical information through the use of cookies and other means. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive to enable our systems to recognise your browser. If you want to disable cookies, you may do so by changing the settings on your browser. However, if you do so, you may not be able to use all of the functions on the site. We use the technical information we collect to have a better understanding of the way people use our site, to improve the way it works and to personalise it to be more relevant and useful to your particular needs.
