The Bill is at the first-reading stage. Its main aim is to restore the purpose of local government as being “to promote the social, economic, environmental, and cultural well-being of communities".

Review of Family Court
Justice Minister Andrew Little is setting up a panel and an expert advisory group to review changes to the Family Court under the last government.
