Community Services across the Tasman Series

Service Adaptation Social MediaAugust 2020 - CSIA, in partnership with Social Service Providers Aotearoa, have launched the Community Services across the Tasman series. This is a free online event bringing together speakers from across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia to share their insights, learnings, research and more. We also have the Good Things Foundation National Director Jessica Wilson who will share insights they have learned about digital adaptation, particularly for service users.

Budget helps families but fails to meet funding shortfall

May 2020 - The community social services sector is welcoming the large Budget investment in jobs, training, emergency relief and public housing. This will assist families and community recovery for years to come. Call for front line social services to be fairly funded through Budget 2020 intensifies

May 2020 - Read the letter from SSPA, NZCCSS and Philanthropy NZ to the Prime Minister and Ministers about funding for NGOs, Māori and Iwi organisations and involvement in the Budget 2020 process. We propose fast tracking advice to address the immediate funding gap faced by social service providers to support the sector respond effectively to growing demand and help to recover and revitalise New Zealand society and economy.
