Our Kaimahi Hauora Programme is SSPA’s way of championing a focus on holistic hauora for social services kaimahi in our communities. We’ve listened to you about how hard it can be to maintain a focus on this, when all your energies go into walking alongside the children, rangatahi and whānau you’re working with. So, we’ve created this programme as a space for social services kaimahi, where you can join together with others to learn and be nourished. The kaitiaki facilitating the programme – aligned with the Maramataka – have some amazing things in store for you!
We’re able to make this programme happen with some funding support from Foundation North, Trust Waikato and Rāta Foundation. So this means we have regional places in the programme available as follows for SSPA member kaimahi:
- 40 places for those based in Tamaki Makaurau and Te Tai Tokerau
- 40 places for those based in Waitaha, Te Tau Ihu, Wharekauri
- 40 places for those based in Waikato
- SSPA is also making available 30 places for SSPA member kaimahi who are based in other regions (outside of those mentioned above).
Register to secure your spot in the Kaimahi Hauora Programme to learn, develop and nourish your holistic hauora. You’ll be able to carry what you learn with you, and in turn, share with your whānau, hapori and even those who you work alongside. We hope you’ll join us.
We have been so fortunate to work with incredible Wellington-based illustrator and writer Ruby Jones, who has brought the essence of our kaupapa to life through the illustrations you see supporting this programme.
